What is the 5th Sunday Difference?
At Imagine, we want to live out our value of WE GIVE FREELY. We have decided to take a couple times a year to serve the community by having a church wide day of service called the Fifth Sunday Difference. On Sunday, March 29th we will have a different way to do church. We won't hold service at STMA West, but we will be meeting at different organizations throughout the community. Our church service will exist in multiple locations, as we send everyone out to serve the community together. We are so excited to serve the community!!
Why do we do the 5th Sunday Difference?
We are always seeking out new ways to live out our value of We Give Freely. This is an easy way that we can be for the community, not just in the community.
When is the 5th Sunday Difference?
Every time there is a month with 5 Sundays, which happens four times a year. We will send everyone out into the community and cancel our normal services.
Where can I serve?
Open Doors for Youth - At this site we will have people working on a deep cleaning of the youth center. (Older elementary or teens are welcome, with adult supervision)
CAER Food Shelf - At this site the group would be helping with preparing meal kits for distribution to clients, as well as cleaning and preparing the shopping area for clients. (Youth ages 12-15 are welcome, but we ask they have a supervising adult with them)
Care Kits - At this site we will be packing hygiene kits for families in need. (Elementary kits are welcome to come with parents)
Childcare - At this site, we will have fun activities for the littlest of Imagine to hang out while parents serve. We do need a couple of volunteers to serve by staying with the littles, so that others can serve at different sites!
