Imagine is an imperfect church for imperfect people. We believe that everyone matters and that no matter who you are, where you have been, what you have done, or what has been done to you, you have significance and worth and that God's love for you is real. Imagine Church exists to help people fall more in love with Jesus every day. We can not wait to connect with you!

Every Sunday from 10-11am in person or online. Imagine Kids is available for birth-5th Grade. Coffee is available 15 minutes prior to the start of every service.

Our values

We believe that our values inform our mission and are the filter through which all of our ideas are sifted through. We don't choose to do anything as a church unless it aligns with one or more of our values.

Above all else, Jesus is our focus. That means that with everything we do as a church we try to bring it back to Jesus. We do this by taking time on Sunday mornings to intentionally focus on Christ, by offering invitations to salvation, and consistently pointing our church back to Christ and what he did for all of us. 

At Imagine we use the transformational loop. The transformational loop is designed to provide opportunities for individual ownership of your faith. Each point in the loop marks a different area in the life of a believer on our spiritual journey. Why a loop? Scripture teaches us that the work of transformation is a process that won’t be fully completed in this life. God is continually molding us and transforming us as we fall more in love with Jesus Everyday. We feel that a loop, having no defined start or end, is an accurate representation of the ongoing process of growing in our faith that we are all on. At Imagine we want to be a community of disciples known for how Jesus is our focus, Everybody Matters, We give Freely, and Grow together. our story

Imagine Church was started as a church plant through the assistance of Connections Church in Ramsey, MN, The Quarry Community Church in Monticello, MN, and Grace Fellowship in Brooklyn Park, MN in the summer of 2015. Josh Christenson was called to be the first lead pastor and church planter. 


Imagine Church held its first public service on December 6, 2015 at Kaleidoscope Charter School in Otsego, MN with 167 people in attendance. Over the next four years, Kaleidoscope Charter remained the home for Imagine Church. It was where Imagine experienced its first people professing Christ, baptisms, child dedications, Christmas and Easter services. In the Fall of 2019, Imagine moved from Kaleidoscope Charter School to a new and it's current location at St Michael Albertville Middle School West, formally the high school. 


Imagine Church gets its name from Ephesians 3:20-21 "Now to he who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen". We are reminded in this passage that we serve a God who is GREATER than what we can HOPE for or IMAGINE. We have seen God move and do just that since before our church was even recognized as a legal organization.

Imagine is affiliated with Converge Worldwide (formally Baptist General Conference) and the Converge North Central District. Imagine is also an active participant in Mission Minnesota and the church planting movement. Imagine seeks to be a church plant that continues to engage in planting other churches.

Imagine is a church plant through converge worldwide, specifically the north central division, the denomination with which the church is associated. We believe Imagine Church is, ultimately, not about us. It’s about Jesus. We believe that we are not THE church, just A church, that is a part of THE Church. We want to help people experience inspired new beginnings that change who they are. And our budget reflects that. There is no better way to reach lost people in America today than starting new churches. So that’s exactly what we want to do. We give 5% of our general fund to church planting and we provide resources, coaching, and people to church planting as well. We also give funding and provide people to missions around the world in many places for the sake of the gospel.
